airlines that fly regularly to Bonaire
KLM : daily flights from Amsterdam, with continuing service
to Lima (Peru) and Quito en Guayaquil (Ecuador)
BonairExpress: intra-island service between Bonaire, Curacao,
Aruba and St Martin

Transaven Airlines: flights to Valencia (Venezuela)

Banks
There are several
banks on Bonaire and they all have an ATM. Opening hours mon-fri
8.00/8.30 until 15.00/15.30, some nonstop. There is also an ATM
next to the Tourist Information Office and in the Arcade.
Money (very important!)
The Antillian guilder
(NAf) has an exchange rate of USD1 is NAf 1.77. Most shops and restaurants
also accept dollars, but your change will be in NAf.

Excellent desalinated
water from the tap, you can drink it without any problem. Make sure
you drink at least 2 liters (water
) a day to avoid de-hydration.

on Bonaire is about 82F year round, usually there is a nice breeze
to make the heat bearable. The water temperature is about 80F.

127volt/50cycles. 220volt is available in the bedroom(s).

Time difference
Bonaire is on Atlantic
Standard Time which is the same as Eastern Standard Time during
DST. Bonaire does not observe DST so during the winter months (nov-apr)
we're 1 hour ahead of EST.

Hurricanes
Bonaire is officially
not in the hurricane zone, but we can all remember Hurricane Lenny
who caused quite some damage on the island in 1999 and this year
Hurricane Emily almost paid us a visit but changed her course at
the last moment.
